Writing for Pleasure:
It doesn't happen often!
The Adam and John Show - 8/4/04
This..is a fan fiction. I can't deny it. But give it a chance anyway. You don't need to know who the characters are, really.
This is a poem I wrote back when I was real into Bright Eyes and Conor Oberst...yeah. Is it even a poem? I'm not sure.A story I wrote recently...I really like it and had a ton of fun writing it. It's very vague and weird.
This is sort of a part 2 to Here's Your Letter, from the other guys point of view. I like this story too!
This story is somewhat related to Here's Your Letter and Asthenia. This didn't come out the way I wanted it too, but I guess it's not horrible.
Something I wrote a few weeks back...I was having a totally weird day and I figured it might be interesting to do a freewrite type thing...this is literally the thoughts that went through my head while I was writing it. Weird. I think it's kinda cool.
This is a poem I wrote the day after I saw an amazing Thursday show. I know it seems kind of lame, but this show really had a huge impact on me. I don't write poems very often (or ever) so this is kind of a weird thing for me...but I think it captures what I wanted it to. And if you're dumb enough to think I'm implying that any member of Thursday is God or God-like...bite me and then go kill yourself.
View from the Sixth Floor - 11/24/03
A story type thing...kind of interesting. When I had the idea to write it, I thought it was about someone else, but after reading it, I realize it's mostly about me. Go figure.
College Writing:
I'm not as smart as you think!
I think this is called a narrative essay...whatever. It's about how I failed my driving test. And I think I exaggerated a bit. Oops. I wrote it for my Freshman Comp. class last year.
Love is a Sacrifice - 09/24/02
A narrative essay I wrote for Freshman Comp. last year. It's about my mom...kinda sappy or something, I guess. If you have a hatred for my mother, (which a lot of people do) you should read this...she's really not so bad.
Middle Earth's Beginnings: A Background of J.R.R. Tolkien - 05/09/03
This is a paper on J.R.R. Tolkien and his life and how he was inspired to create Middle Earth and all that crap. If you're interested in the dude, you can check it out. Otherwise, it just may put you to sleep.
The Questioning of Traditional Victorian Gender Roles in Dracula - 11/28/03
I wrote this paper a couple of weeks ago for my Women in Literature class...I guess it's pretty boring. It talks about how Dracula really wants Jonathon, and he uses the women to get to him...haha.
Neddy Merrill's Epic Journey - 12/07/03
A paper I wrote last week for my American Lit. Class. I spent so much time on it, but I suppose if you've never read "The Swimmer," you would find it horribly boring. Oh well, I'm proud!
Censorship is Never the Answer - 11/23/02
An argument essay I wrote for my Freshman Comp. class last year. It's about how censorship sucks. I'm a fan.
Why Wolves Howl at the Moon - 02/05/03
A fairy tale that I wrote for my Freshman Comp. class last year. I kinda like it. My teacher really liked it...
The Old Skool Shizzle:
From the high school days...good memories!
This is a story I wrote for a cultural project back in my senior year of high school. I don't really like it. It's about how back in the day Chinese women were pretty much treated like crap. Fun stuff!
We had an assignment senior year to write our own obituary...so I had a lot of fun with it. Maybe too much. It's embarrassing but also ridiculously entertaining to read it now. It's all a joke, if you can't tell...
High School Editorial - 02/22/02
Another assignment I had senior year. I wrote an editorial on how stupid it was we weren't allowed to listen to cd players at school. I actually like this one.
This is a vignette I wrote for my 11th grade English class. It's about going to a show. It's not the worst thing I've ever written.
Following The Cider House Rules - 04/05/01
The paper I wrote on The Cider House Rules in 11th grade. Kinda boring, but if you feel the need...go for it!
Le Chat et la Souris - 02/21/02
This is a poem/fable I wrote for my AP French class senior year...hence, it is in French. I really love it. If you can read French, check it out!
School Shootings: Who's to Blame? - 06/02/02
My final paper for my honors English class in senior year. My teacher hated me and was a whore. But I like this paper. I wrote it because I was really fucking sick of hearing about how the media causes it, or how the kids that shoot up schools are evil evil people who were not provoked in anyway to that. Bullshit. But yeah. This is my paper.
Le Petit Prince: Notre Réunion - 06/02/01
When I was in French 4, we had to write an ending to Le Petit Prince. This was mine. I never liked it. I'm putting it here because I am amazed that I could ever write in French like this...and I did like my ending, too.
